Greetings from Uganda πΊπ¬
The Street Gymnastics Uganda workshop held a third workshop at Kataka Arts (Katwe) 2kms From the city center. The program went on well as it was arranged. We had 38 participants 4 instructors .
The theme of the workshops was (NATURING AND LIFTING TALENTS THROUGH SPORTS GYMNASTICS AND DANCES: )
This time we used our Air Track with few members dressed in the street gymnastics T-SHIRT. Only 6 children got a chance to put on the shirts because we couldnβt give it to the all group. We first had breafing with the head coach DERICK introducing me and telling them about the day program. I tell them about Denimark, I also told them how we come to get the Air Track. Telling them about Esben and Soren who donated the air truck. When I finished coach Fisal take on the warm up and dance session which was very exciting and amazing.
After the warm up and dances, coach Derick was there for Tumbling, And Coach Daglas was in charge Acrobatics.
The day was so good childrens liked jumping on the air track very much but at first some of the kids were a little bit scared to use the air track because it was there first time to use it. As the training goes on they picked and like it very very much. We ended up spending almost the all day enjoying our Air Track.
As the Bulenga youth requested the Kataka Arts did the same wanted the workshops again.
We decided to have a meeting before end of year to evaluate the program and set the next years program as soon as possible . This programs will take place in all places like (1)Bulenga youth, (2) Kataka Arts Katwe (3) Ausape (4) Kakooge (5) kikajjo childrens (6) Kansanga (7) Jinja. But the challenge is how to get funds to facilitate workshops.
As usual after the tiredness we had Some drinks like sodas and drinking water. Each kid got one bottle of drink.
Dear Bramming Gymnastics Association, Esben Jensen Foundation, Street Gymnast International (Soren) and some invisible sponsors. We thank you very much for the sponsorship.
Yours
Mr. Ntumwa Livingstone
